About North End Church

Who We Are

At North End Church, our purpose is simple: fear the Lord and walk in all of His ways.

We are a Reformed, gospel-centered church that gathers weekly for corporate singing, preaching, fellowship, and prayer.

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.

What We Believe

We are joyfully rooted in the historic Christian faith and hold to the following creeds and statements of belief, along with our church covenant.

The Abstract of Principles serves as our confessional standard, affirming key doctrines such as God’s sovereignty, salvation through Christ alone, the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and the final judgment. (Read here →)

The North End Church Membership Covenant outlines the shared commitments of North End members to pursue holiness, live connected, serve joyfully, give generously, love others, and share the gospel together as one body in Christ. (Read here →)

The Nicene Creed summarizes the core truths of the Christian faith, affirming one God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and the saving work of Jesus Christ. (Read here →)

The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy affirms that Scripture is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word, without error in all it teaches. (Read here →)

The Nashville Statement on Biblical Sexuality declares God’s good design for marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and calls believers to faithfulness and purity in all areas of life. (Read here →)

The Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood outlines God’s created design for men and women as equal in dignity yet distinct in role, both in the home and the church. (Read here →)

Our Leadership

North End is an elder-led and congregationally ruled church.

  • Elders serve as pastors and shepherds, teaching God’s Word and overseeing the spiritual health of the church. Elders must meet the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

  • Deacons serve under the leadership of the elders as faithful servants who meet practical needs in the church, supporting the ministry of the Word by freeing the elders to focus on prayer, preaching, and shepherding. Deacons must meet the biblical qualifications in Acts 6 and 1 Timothy 3.

  • Members are saints who covenant together to follow Christ, persevere in the faith, gather regularly for worship, and encourage one another in love and good works (Hebrews 10:23–25).

Meet Our Elders

(Currently in formation as a new Church)

  • Scott Hood – Elder
Scott is serving as our founding elder and primary teacher. He has a heart for expository preaching, discipleship, and shepherding God’s people with biblical faithfulness. He’s a husband, a father to two boys, and has been in ministry for over 20 years.

  • Future Elders
North End plans to install additional qualified elders during our first year. Our goal is a team of multiple elders who share equal authority and responsibility in leading the church.
